Our point of view at Ronnie Scott’s

At the ALL IN launch gig at Ronnie Scott’s in July, we did some filming with fifteen headmounted GoPro cameras which means that you can now experience the gig literally from our point of view… Check out the footage below, and tune in to BBC Jazz on 3 TONIGHT (21st September) from 11pm to hear more from the gig!

Huge thanks to Tom Maine, Alex Fiennes and all at Ronnie’s for making the video possible

Also check out the gallery of photos from the night for shots of us wearing the cameras, looking like we’re heading down a mine…

ALL IN launch gigs – thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came along to help us celebrate the launch of ALL IN at the Soup Kitchen in Manchester and Ronnie Scott’s in London – we had an amazing time both nights, they were definitely two of the most fun gigs we’ve ever had.

The Ronnie’s gig was recorded by BBC Jazz on 3 and will be broadcast in the autumn; keep an eye on twitter (ours and Jazz on 3’s) for full details soon! If you were at Ronnie’s you’ll know that we also did some special filming on the night – the footage looks great, can’t wait to share it with you…

Finally check out some photos from both gigs in our gallery, including some great shots (such as the one below) from Ronnie’s house photographer Carl Hyde.

ALL IN – out now

Delighted to finally be able to say that our second album All In is out NOW! Available directly from us through Bandcamp (where you can also receive badges and photo postcards with your order), from our distributor Proper Music, through your local record store or all the usual online places (Amazon, iTunes etc).

We’ve been blown away by the reception for the album so far, particularly over the weekend with 4 star reviews in The Guardian and The Times (both below). There’s also a feature on us and the album in this month’s Jazzwise magazine, alongside another really nice review.

Really looking forward to the two UK launch gigs in July – hope to see many of you at one (or both) of those – get your tickets in now!

Tuesday 7th July – Soup Kitchen, Manchester (tickets/info)
Wednesday 8th July – Ronnie Scott’s, London (tickets/info)

Thanks again for your continued support and we all hope that you all enjoy the album!

ALL IN – released 8th June 2015

Very excited to announce the release of our second album! It’s called All In and will be released on 8th June 2015 on Efpi Records. We recorded the album in January 2014 in the inspiring surroundings of Real World Studios in rural Wiltshire, and we can’t wait to finally be able to share it with you all…

The album features 7 tracks, including our version of the David Bowie classic ‘Let’s Dance’ – full tracklisting below. The CD comes in a cardboard sleeve with artwork by Alexander Rennie and a fold-out insert featuring photography by Emile Holba. Both CD sleeve and insert were printed in the USA using traditional letterpress and offset techniques and 100% recycled materials.
